About our Leader
Apostle, Dr Maria R. Atkins, Th.D –
Apostle Maria R. Atkins was born July 4, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was educated in the Dekalb County School System and attended Emory University, Career Training Institute, and Georgia State University.
Raised in the church, she began teaching Sunday School at age 16 and later served as Sunday School Secretary at Zion Baptist Church in Chamblee, GA. Answering God’s call, she joined Lynwood Park UCOGIC, where she received spiritual training under Bishop Marshall Carter and Mother Lillie Carter and was licensed to teach the Word of God.
In 1989, she helped establish a prayer and Bible study in Blakely, GA, which later became Blakely UCOGIC. In 2006, Apostle Atkins founded Resurrection Ministries: The Restored House, Inc. She was appointed Overseer in 2010 and consecrated to the office of Apostle in 2012.
Apostle Atkins earned her Doctor of Theology in 2016. She is the Founder and CEO of Resurrection Ministries International, Inc., Senior Pastor of Restored House Cathedral, and founder of multiple Restored House churches and Maria Atkins Ministries, Inc.
She is the devoted wife of Deacon James Atkins and the proud mother of one child, as well as a spiritual mother to many.

Men’s Empowerment & Leadership Program
The Men’s Empowerment & Leadership Program is designed to support men through mentorship, leadership development, and life-skills training. The program focuses on strengthening character, responsibility, workforce readiness, and positive decision-making. Participants receive guidance in goal-setting, conflict resolution, financial responsibility, and community leadership, helping them become productive contributors to their families and the broader community.
Women’s Empowerment & Wellness Program
The Women’s Empowerment & Wellness Program provides holistic support to women by addressing emotional well-being, personal development, and leadership growth. The program offers workshops, peer support, and mentoring focused on self-confidence, life balance, healthy relationships, and personal stability. This initiative empowers women to improve their quality of life while strengthening families and communities.
Youth Leadership & Life Skills Development Program
The Youth Leadership & Life Skills Development Program serves youth and young adults by promoting academic support, leadership training, and positive life choices. The program emphasizes mentoring, character development, goal-setting, and social responsibility. Through structured activities and guidance, participants build confidence, decision-making skills, and resilience, helping to reduce risk behaviors and increase educational and career readiness.
Community Food Security & Hunger Relief Program
The Community Food Security & Hunger Relief Program addresses food insecurity by providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. The program distributes nutritious food items, supports vulnerable populations, and works to reduce hunger within the community. This initiative ensures consistent access to food while promoting dignity, stability, and overall community well-being.
